Hello Mortals,
It’s been a while since we last spoke. I’m excited to announce today that we’ve partnered with AQUA.xyz to launch the first official Gods Unchained tournament in conjunction with the upcoming release of Mortal Judgement: Light’s Verdict!
We’ve seen a lot of great community events over the last couple of months with the launch of ‘Community Clash’ and we’re excited to be building on that success with these events. Players can get a taste of what's to come with the upcoming influencer event, ‘Lights Verdict: Showdown’. This event will feature 8 of the best GU content creators battling it out for over $15,000 USD in prizing (USDC, $GODS and card packs). You can catch all the action on Sep 30, 5pm PDT on twitch.tv/godsunchained
But we’re not stopping there! Players from around the world will have the opportunity to compete in one of two regional tournaments over the weekend of October 8-9, 2022. With a combined prize pool value of $53,000 USD in prizing (USDC, $GODS and card packs).
So how do you get involved you may ask? Well it’s simple, depending on your location of residence you’ll be eligible to compete in one of two events:
- Americas & Asia-Pacific Regional Event (PDT / UTC -7)
- Open Qualifier: October 8, 2022
- Main Event: October 9, 2022
- EMEA & CIS Regional Event (CEST / UTC +2)
- Open Qualifier: October 8, 2022
- Main Event: October 9, 2022

These events will be broken into an Open Qualifier (Swiss) on Day 1 and a Top 8 Main event (Double Elimination) on Day 2. Each event will be played under the conquest format, in which each player must submit 3 decks to be eligible for tournament play. More information on deck submissions and formats can be found on the tournament pages.
The second day of competition will be broadcasted directly on twitch.tv/godsunchained for everyone to tune in and cheer on their favourite players to the grand finals!
In addition, we’ve also heard the feedback from players wanting to see prizes inject further down into the final standings, and that’s why we’re happy to announce that all 512 players entering each event will walk away with prizes. A complete breakdown can be found below:
