Post-Divine Order Balance Update #1

The release of Divine Order put the team through its paces. Our plan was to follow our usual process, releasing new balance changes alongside the next Game Update. However, after the launch, we saw a pretty overwhelming response from the community and decided that it would be best to break process just this once for the good of all. We also decided to expand our planned update to hopefully mitigate some more issues that have cropped up. The balance team is relieved to get these changes out, and I’m hoping you all will be too! 

For complete transparency, we had to recreate the next patch on the current build and this meant we only had time to do the minimum required QA before the upcoming Weekend Ranked. This isn’t ideal, but we wanted to make a change so players didn’t have to endure (pun intended) another painful weekend tournament. TL:DR: This means that some bugs might be present, but we don’t expect there will be anything too dramatic. As always, if anything does come up, please submit a bug report!

Rolling Thunder

Increased mana cost from 6 to 7

Demetrios, Playwright

Demetrios no longer upgrades every draft in your hand, only one. (The extra writing was bad for his wrist)

Each time you upgrade your draft, it also increases in mana cost. (His production manager is furious.)

Pallas' Genius

Increased mana cost from 2 to 3.

Neferu’s Sacrifice

Increased mana cost from 2 to 3.

Cursed Obelisk

Changed text from:

Backline.
