The Shadow Draw is creeping in… how many tickets do you have?
The Shadow Draw is almost here, with plenty of prizes to be won for those who hold valid Draw Tickets. The draw results will be streamed on November 11 @ 6pm PST on Twitch, and will feature some Trial of the Gods Rare Pack giveaways to boot.
What can you do until then? Well, you’ll need Draw Tickets to win – so make sure you stock up before the cutoff dates below. Draw Tickets can be found in Trial of the Gods Packs and Chests, as well as traded on third-party marketplaces.
How the Shadow Draw works
All mortals who hold valid Draw Tickets will go in the running to win some epic loot. Results are decided by a prize draw, which randomly assigns prizes to the wallets of Draw Ticket holders. We’ll be revealing the Shadow Draw results during our livestream on November 11 6pm PST. Cutoff for Draw Tickets earned from packs will be Monday Nov 9 @ 2pm. Cutoff from all trading will be at Ethereum block 11,232,837, unless otherwise specified.
Schedule: All times in PST
- Sunday, Nov 8 – Draw Tickets minted as usual
- Monday, Nov 9 @ 2pm – Final Shadow Draw minting of Draw Tickets earned from packs & chests
- Tuesday, Nov 10 – Trading cutoff (Ethereum block 11,232,837)
- Wednesday, Nov 11 @ 6pm – Shadow Draw Stream
The Juicy Details
Final Minting: On Monday, November 9th at 2pm we’ll have our final Draw Ticket minting. This will ensure all Draw Tickets earned from Trial of the Gods packs and chests will be on the chain and ready for the cutoff date. If you want your Draw Tickets to go towards both the Shadow Draw & the Mythic Draw (which is still a while off yet), make sure you open your Trial of the Gods packs & chests before this date! Any tickets earned from packs and chests after this date will only go towards the Mythic Draw (instead of both) but trading on third-party marketplaces will still be possible. It’s important to note, tickets in Trial of the Gods Chests that aren’t opened before this date won’t count towards the Shadow Draw.
Trading cutoff: Roughly a day after, a snapshot will be taken of Ethereum block 11,232,837, which will capture all minted Draw Tickets (and the wallets they exist in) at this block. Once that snapshot is taken all Shadow Draw entries are closed, and any trading done after this block won’t count towards the Shadow Draw (but will still count towards the Mythic Draw).
We expect this block to land somewhere on November 10 PST but, given the nature of the blockchain, we can’t accurately predict this, so we reserve the right to change this block if it looks to be way too early, or much later than this anticipated date. If this needs to be done, we’ll give warning in our Discord.
The Draw: A Google Sheet will contain a list of all addresses that held Draw Tickets on Ethereum block 11,232,837. Next to each Ethereum address, there will be an upper and lower value where the difference between the two values is equal to the number of Draw Tickets that address had when the balance was finalized.
We will be selecting winners by generating integers between 1 and the total number of valid Draw Tickets in existence through RANDOM.ORG. If the number drawn is inside the range of the lower and upper values next to an address, that address is the winner.
Once all prizes have been drawn, we’ll reveal them live on stream come November 11.
Prizes & Distribution
Order Card Backs: An exception to the prize draw format, the Order Card Backs are given to all wallets that hold over 500 Draw Tickets as of Ethereum block 11,232,837. While card back functionality is not yet available in-game, these are a gift from the future – being implemented in Gods Unchained in 2021.
Trinkets & Boards: As with the Trial of the Gods set, Shadow Draw trinkets and boards will not be minted until the release of Immutable X. That said, you will have them in your hot li’l in-game inventory far sooner than that. We aim to make these usable in the Arena in the weeks following the Shadow Draw.
Shadow Core Cards: For the lucky winners of the Shadow Core cards, these will be playable when trinkets and boards drop. As with the Trial of the Gods set, cards won’t be minted until Immutable X arrives, but you’ll be able to sling your Shadows in the Arena before then.
Go beyond the Shadows
Now that you’re prepared for the draw, all that’s left to do is gather tickets and wait for the action to kick off. But it doesn’t end there. Your tickets aren’t single-use only, as all valid Draw Tickets used in the Shadow Draw (even if they successfully win a prize) are still valid for the Mythic Draw happening later in the season.
Good luck, mortals!
