Marketplace for Web

Update Tuesday 13 April, 2021: The official marketplace has been retired and Immutable X is the new trading platform to trade Gods Unchained cards! Begin trading.

Got some cards to sell? Or maybe you’ve got your eye on a shiny diamond? The Marketplace is now available online, and we’ve put on our magically imbued, high-vis hats to build out a few features that’ll make trade a breeze.

In a game built on blockchain assets, the Marketplace should be the hub at the heart of the experience. It’s the go-to place where you can sell your hard-earned goods, browse the current offerings or pick up the cards required to curate the perfect deck.

We’re on the way, but at the moment the Official Gods Unchained Marketplace isn’t quite where we’d like it to be – so over the next few months we’re making some quality of life improvements to bring this closer to the thriving trade center we initially envisioned: one worthy of the gods themselves.

Peddle and purchase anytime, anywhere

Previously, the Marketplace only existed within the game client – an experience that inhibited on-the-go deal hunters.

Today those chains have been broken, and the Marketplace is now available on the web!

Like its in-client brethren, this new version is designed for secure transactions using Ethereum. For players who are keen to begin trading for the first time, simply follow these simple steps to create and link a wallet for free. For the veterans out there, you can connect an existing account or, if you’ve already linked your wallet to the in-game client, your account will automatically carry over – no re-linking required.

Ether. Better. Faster. Stronger.

With the web launch comes some quality of life upgrades. The goal of all these is to create a better user experience for first-time browsers and merchant legends alike.

These are:

  • The Power of Four: The new minimum listing for purchasing and sale prices will be four decimal places (0.0001 ETH). We want to ensure you have the power to buy and sell at competitive prices, which is why we've added that sneaky extra decimal place to play with.
  • Functional Filter: The process of finding that specific card you’re after has been a bit convoluted. We’re moving the most popular filters (Quality and Rarity) to the fore.

Over the next few months, you’ll be seeing a bunch more improvements pop up. Things like price tracking graphs, trader leaderboards and the inclusion of trinkets & boards (to name a few).

We’re attacking these systematically leading up to the launch of Season One so the timeline is not set in stone, as we don’t want to pull bodies from the other important work like bug fixes, game development and most important of all: comms (uh… anyone? … hello? … just me?).

Happy trading, mortals.
